Reflections

- What you learned in this course that you did not previously know about social media.

This course has help me tremendously when it comes to blogging and keeping things private. I used to never care about what I post online, not that it's anything bad but I will definitely set my social media account on private after learning that my future boss might be looking at my profile.

- What aspects of this course you enjoyed.

I love being able to do my work at home honestly. I didn't think it would be this flexible as far as getting my stuff done on time. This class is very laid back, not in a lazy way but knowing that you're in a group where people get their stuff done on time is a definite plus.

- What aspects of this course should be improved upon in future semesters.
I don't like that I wasn't able to pick my own group. Thank god for a group that everyone does their work. It would sucks, if my teammate aren't reliable.

- Would you recommend this course to a friend? Why or why not?
I would definitely recommend this course to a friend, I've enjoyed this class alot more than I originally thought. The content in this course is very informative and definitely helpful in the real world.

By keeping a planner of when you need things to be done will help you keep track of when you need to start doing the things on the list. I feel like the best thing that I've done in the process of planning is giving myself time to do it. I hate the feeling of being rushed to get things done, it always make me feel over helm and definitely not enjoyable for me. I like to visualize things just so I know where I want things to be and I write it down so I would remember it later. I divide the things I want to get done by months, I had 6 months to plan my wedding so I break down every single little things I need to get done and keep track of things that way. I feel like I have more control over things when I have the paper physically right in front of me. I definitely reccomend keeping a journey with you always, because you never know when an inspiration will come to you or when you forgot to list something down before you forget.

Wedding planning is something that can be very fun and enjoyable if planned right. On the other hand, it could be extremely overwhelming,  frustrating and boring when the bride doesn't have a wedding planner or aren't prepared to plan it herself. I feel by doing these 5 things, my wedding planning journey went alot smoother and I enjoy doing it alot. I've found so many tips on Youtube about planning, it definitely help me alot and relived alot of stress knowing I'm planning the right way where I give myself enough time to do everything I need to do.

1. Plan ahead, don't wait until last minute to decide on the theme or the color. Know what you want and when you want it.
2. Do your research, look on Pintrest, Yahoo, Google, wherever you think you can find your inspiration. Know what you like and don' like. It will make the wedding planning process alot easier.
3.. Don't overspend, make a budget list of things you need to buy first. Don't buy things you want first, because if they aren't necessary don't get it. Little things adds up fast and before you know it, you're over spending.
4. Make a timeline, know when certain things has to be done. Know which vendors you need to contact by and when you need it so things won't be uncontrollable on the wedding day and you ending up being shorhanded because vendors aren't showing up when they are supposed to.
5.It's about you, do what you want. Don't listen to other people's opinion if you know you don't like their idea. It's your wedding, do it your way.

My Personal Brand

Entry 1:

Planning a wedding but doesn't know where to begin? That was how I felt 8 months ago when I started the wedding planning process. There are countless websites and thousand of tips that will pop up when you google "wedding planning" right? When I first started I felt so overhelm, there are so many things to do and so many tips I didn't know where to begin so I narrowed everything down to this list and create a wedding binder to pht it in.  Don't ever feel like you have to follor exactly this chronological order, do what fit you best. Enjoy the process as you go, don't let the overhelming feeling get the best of you and make you hate the planning process.

Personally, I think the most important thing in this proces is organizational skills. So if the bride can tackle that the wedding planning will go alot smoother. I feel that what help me the most with the planning process is creating a wedding binder that I use to store all of my inspiration, budget, to do list, contact info for the vendors ,and to keep all of the receipts in place. Of course the binders can be personalize according to the bride's need because every wedding and different and have something unique so it'll be more useful to the bride to follow the template but also customize it to fit her own wedding like I did with mine.

I actually found a template on Pintrest that help creating the binder that I'm using right now. I love the style and how organized everything . It's hassle free to put together, all you have to do is print the papers out and put it togerther. I added a few more things in the binder that is more personal to me and I feel that it's necessary for my wedding. I will list the link below if anyone want to check it out.

Microblogging

Entry 1: Picture: "Look at what I've Been Doing"

Tweet: " putting together the butterfly rings on the napkins for the wedding".
I'm getting marry on June 23rd of this year so I've been on Pintrest almost 24/7 looking up different ideas and DIY for the day of. I went high and low looking for butterfly rings and napkins that look like linen but are made of paper. Finally I came upon Amazon, and found everything I have in mind. It's more beautiful than I orginally thought, and bery easy to pick to put together. The one thing I will say about it is that the package doesn't come with direction so it's all about trail and error. I don't think it is very hard to figure how to put it together yourself though.

Entry 2: Mission Accomplished: "This is What I've Been Doing"

Tweet: "successfully putting everything together".
After ordering everything I need on Amazon, I finally put my idea together. It wasn't as simple as I thought it would be, my orignally thought was that the butterfuly won't be able to stick on the glass and stay put through the night.  What I didn't realize was in the package that the butterfly was in, there was a pack of sticky glue, oh boy did it stick good. I actually have a hard time removing it without leaving residue on the glass. So if anyone is looking for some cute decor, I would recommend purchasing this product on Amazon. It took me about 45 minutes to put 100 sets together, so if you have a helping hand it would cut the time down alot faster. I do this for my wedding, but I think it would be perfectly fine to be use for party and other occasions.

Entry 3: Entertainment: "I'm Making You Laugh Now"

Tweet: "that moment when the bride can't stop laughing at the wedding".
I think each day goes by, the wedding fever have hit me at an all time high. I'm constantly thinking of new ideas and new things to get done as the day come closer. I've heard many crazy stories about how things could go wrong during the wedding, I couldn't resist but go on Youtube to see how crazy things can get. I came upon one video, that I can totally see happening to me on the day of. Once I laugh, I go all out and sometime I can't stop myself just like the bride in this video.  Go ahead and check it out for yourself !(:

Introduction

My name is Vi Le,I am 22 years old.  I am a Management and Marketing Major at UTA. I will be graduating in December 2017 and I'm beyond excited for that time to come. I feel that it has been long overdue, as much as I love learning I really need a break from it. I'm passionate about planning and human relations.
I am enrolled in Social Media Marketing because I want to know more about how social media works, it's always been an interesting topic for me.

At the beginning of the semester I didn't think I would be able to learn so much about Social Media. I thought I know everything about it already, so I was just hoping to learn more about the effect it have on us.
I learned about the role of social media in our every day life and how it effects us personally. How to differentiate and keep personal things off the web. To not overshare because once it's posted online the whole world can probably view it.
Currently I work as a Nails Tech, I have been in this field ever since I was in highshool. It has been helping me pay my way through college. On most days, I love making people feel beautiful. This job is long hour, so it is tiring after a while but the best part about it is it let me bring out my artistic side and it give me a chance to socialite with people.
After graduation I am hoping to have a position in Human Resource. I will be starting to apply at different companies and hospitals next semester so hopefully I will have a job by the time I graduate.
I love traveling, I'm extremely passionate about it. I would love to have an opportunity to travel as often as I could. Learning about different culture and tasting different food is my favorite part of every trip.
I am not at all artistic outside of my job. I can do a lot of nail art using the nail art brush but outside of my job I don't have an artistic bone in my body. I always thought it's weird that I can do so many different designs but I can't draw on paper to save me life.
